Free Credit Score

Online Free Credit Score

Credit scores and credit reports are available from any of the 3 credit bureaus: Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. Your credit report history can affect a number of financial areas of your life ranging from home loans, auto loans, student loans, insurance rates, employment, credit cards and more.

Why Are Credit Scores Free?

Often, the 3 credit bureaus promote free credit scores online, that comes along with some sort of credit monitoring trial offer. The trial offer usually lasts anywhere from 7 days to 14 days and after that, if you do not cancel the credit monitoring offer, you will be charged a small monthly fee. At the very least, take advantage of the free credit score offer and just remember to cancel later on prior to the end of the trial period.

With the increase in identity fraud, paying less than $1 a day may be worth the comfort of mind knowing that you will be alerted whenever a credit check on your social security number is conducted.
